Ho-lee shit. I can find no reason to disbelieve that this story is true, except that it seems unbelievable. It sounds like a movie plot.

Did the world really almost end in 1983? ::shudders::

Agreed. I had no idea. I always thought of the cold war worries over the bomb simply being paranoia!
